A large white/ rust colored praying mantis made from recycled materials.  The rusted white metal for the wing covers and upper body were salvaged from a refrigerant tank.  Hints of blue and white writing can still be seen when looking closely.  Other pieces in the construction consist of miscellaneous nuts and bolts, bicycle parts, ball bearings, stainless silverware, typewriter parts, bicycle parts, and scrap steel rod.  This piece measures 16" long, 11" wide, and 10" tall.  It's head swivels on a threaded stud and has an oiled finish to preserve it's appearance when displayed indoors.
