Much of my artwork is inspired by my own outdoor adventures. Mallard Spring Fling is one of those pieces Inspired by a hunting outing.  This sculpture is a very detailed and true to life depiction of a pair of Mallards in a landing pattern.  The overall sculpture is made similar to a taxidermy display and is designed to be viewed from all angles.  These ducks are highly detailed including colors from various pieces of painted steel and heat treated metal.  The ducks are true to life size and mounted upon a stand of "reeds" to give the image of flight.  The reed grass extends seamlessly through the table surface into the lower section of the display giving the illusion of the surface of water.  The table/ base is 24" x 24" at the base, the overall sculpture measures approximately 74" tall, 32" wide and 36" deep.  This sculpture has a protective clear finish designed for indoor display to preserve it's appearance and prevent further corrosion when indoors.  It is signed, initialed, and has a small tag with it's name displayed on it.  Made in Wisconsin.
